The Cairo University Orthopedic Department held its Annual Scientific Meeting and Visiting Professor
Grand Rounds this year under the title “Our Ambassadors”. Alumni of the Orthopedic residency Program
at Cairo University holding positions overseas in various prestigious universities in Europe and North
America were invited to lecture. Dr. Haleem presented two talks on this exceptional gathering attended
by orthopedic surgeons from all over Egypt; Total Hip Arthoplasty in Patients with MassiveLimb Length
Difference and a second talk on Ankle Distraction Arthroplasty, a novel treatment in salvaging ankle
joints with severe osteoarthritis in younger patients. The talks were received extremely well by the
audience and Dr. Haleem was interviewed on the National Egyptian TV to elaborate on the subject.
